FAQs
1. Is this statue is not meant to be motorized or remote-controlled.
This piece is designed primarily as a display statue — something to place in a corner of your collection and simply admire. Due to its fiberglass construction, we do not recommend installing motors, wheels, or remote-control components with the intent of driving it around. While sturdy, this is a static display piece, not built for movement. The one exception is the dome, which rotates a full 360 degrees in either direction via a built-in "lazy susan" rotating disk. (Not included with the DIY kit, but available for separate purchase.)
2. Is this a 2-legged or 3-legged R2 unit?
You'll receive all 3 legs. With the help of a friend, you can easily switch between a 2-leg or full 3-leg display position.
3. Does it include lights and sound?
Yes — the dome is equipped with both lights and sound.
4. Do you offer R2 as a model kit?
Yes. We offer the complete unit — from dome to foot — unpainted, allowing you to handle the painting and full assembly yourself.
5. Are these in stock, and how long is the wait?
We currently have 3 fully painted R2-D2 units (blue and white) and 1 R2-KT unit (pink and white) in stock. Please allow about 1 week for final preparation, boxing, and shipping. DIY kits are made to order and require 3–4 weeks for completion.
6. Is this a 3D-printed statue?
No. This is built from fiberglass and cast resin with metal components — giving you a high-quality piece without the $8,000–$10,000 price tag of comparable units.
Note: Photos show both the clean and weathered versions available. Weathering can be customized to light, medium, or heavy, based on your preference.
